This program is designed to provide contractors with technical guidance and on-site assistance during the start-up of eligible VRF systems purchased through Carrier Enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before continuing, please review the program expectations below. This information is intended to clarify the roles, responsibilities, scheduling requirements, and potential fees associated with the Assisted Start-Up Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What This Program Provides<\/strong><\/summary>
\n

The CE VRF Assisted Start-Up Program provides support to the installing contractor before and during the VRF start-up process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Pre-planning support<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Review of submitted project documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Review of the system layout and application<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A pre-job walk-through, when applicable<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • On-site technical assistance during start-up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    This service is intended to help support a successful start-up, but it does not replace the contractor\u2019s responsibility to properly install, prepare, and start the system.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    CE\u2019s Role<\/summary>
    \n

    CE provides technical guidance and start-up assistance only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The VRF Technical Support Representative may assist with reviewing system information, identifying potential concerns, and providing guidance during the start-up process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    CE does not:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Install VRF equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Complete unfinished installation work<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Make repairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Correct wiring, piping, refrigerant, condensate, or control issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Provide labor to make the system operational<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Assume responsibility for installation quality or code compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n
      Contractor\u2019s Role<\/summary>
      \n

      The installing contractor is responsible for the complete installation and preparation of the VRF system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This includes, but is not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • Installing all indoor and outdoor equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Completing refrigerant piping<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Completing pressure testing and evacuation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Completing electrical and communication wiring<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Installing and connecting controls<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Completing condensate piping<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Verifying clearances and access<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Completing all required checklists<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Providing updated project documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Ensuring the system is fully ready to operate before CE arrives on site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        The contractor is responsible for performing the start-up with CE providing assistance and guidance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        Fees and Additional Charges<\/summary>
        \n

        This is a purchased assisted start-up service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Additional fees may apply if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        • The system is not ready when CE arrives on site<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Required documentation is incomplete or inaccurate<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Installation issues prevent the start-up from being completed<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • A return visit is required<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Additional commissioning time is needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Repairs or corrections must be completed by the contractor before start-up can continue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Any required charge documents will be reviewed as part of the scheduling and confirmation process.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

          Scheduling Requirements<\/summary>
          \n

          Assisted Start-Up appointments must be requested in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Please provide a minimum of two weeks\u2019 notice<\/strong> when requesting a pre-job walk-through or start-up appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          CE will make every effort to accommodate one of the requested dates; however, scheduling is based on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          • Availability of the VRF Technical Support Representative<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Receipt of all required documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Project readiness<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Completion of the installation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Review and acceptance of submitted forms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            A requested date is not confirmed until CE reviews the submitted information and confirms the appointment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

            Before You Continue<\/summary>
            \n

            Before moving to the detailed program instructions, you are confirming that you understand the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            This service is available only for eligible VRF equipment purchased through Carrier Enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            This is an assisted start-up service only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            The contractor is responsible for installation and system readiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            CE does not perform installation, repairs, or corrective labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Required documentation must be submitted before scheduling can be confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            The system must be fully installed and ready to operate when CE arrives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Additional fees may apply if the system is not ready or if a return visit is required.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
