82-12
High line voltage may result in increased stress on electronic components and shorten the life of the VFD. Code 82-12 is set when the VFD detects that the incoming line voltage rises above 264 VAC RMS. Once line voltage drops below these thresholds the fault will clear. While fault is active unit will operate at a reduced capacity.
Technician should first measure incoming line voltage at terminal block using VOM. If voltage reading is above 264 VAC RMS, additional steps involving the local power utility or the addition of external power conditioner may be required.
