Code 82-18 IGBT Short Detection Error

Code 82-58 IGBT Short Detection Malfunction (27VPA9 Only)

Code 82-18 indicates an internal short. Inspect VFD control board for debris that may have created an electrical short. Inspect wire harnesses and terminals for pinched wires or insulation that has bare spots.

Three instances of code 82-18 in one hour will generate the code 82-58 with a 2 hour lockout. If this code persists the VFD will need to be replaced.
