Code 84-51 IPM Over Temperature Malfunction (27VPA9 Only)
The VFD has internal temperature sensors to monitor critical power components and take action if operating temperatures cross thresholds that may shorten the VFDs operating life. In normal operation the system will take action before a code 84-11 can occur, so this code should be rare. Multiple code 84-11 faults will generate a code 84-51 and lockout for 2 hours. If this code persists the VFD should be replaced.
