Infinity/Evolution Zoning Airflow Calculator

Use this calculator to evaluate airflow requirements for Infinity® zoning systems. Enter the equipment, system, duct assessment, and zone information to calculate the selected airflow for each zone and compare it with the equipment’s allowable airflow limits.

The calculator accounts for duct assessment capacity, system leakage, equipment airflow requirements, and selected airflow-limit settings. Results are provided for each active zone to help support proper zoning design and duct-system evaluation.

For design guidance, equipment selection, duct sizing, and installation requirements, always refer to the applicable Carrier® product data and Infinity Zoning Design Guide.

Airflow-limit chart basisEnter Outdoor Unit Maximum AirflowNo dehumidification minimum selected.

Workbook formula: selected AFL CFM = ((duct assessment capacity % + leakage %) ÷ 100) × Outdoor Unit Maximum Airflow × airflow-limit multiplier. Enter the Outdoor Unit Maximum Airflow in Section 2; it is the chart basis. No Limit uses the entered Outdoor Unit Maximum Airflow. Dehumidification is used only for the outdoor-unit minimum-airflow check.

4. Duct Assessment Results

Enter the controller Duct Assessment results for each installed zone. Capacity plus system leakage should equal 100%. Leakage below 10% is recommended; 10–15% is acceptable; above 15% should be investigated.
